Your First Visit

Every smile starts with a complimentary consultation!

At your first visit to Pure smiles Orthodontics, we will welcome you to our office and introduce you to the team. You will be given a brief tour of the facilities. At this time, we will also ask you to complete a Medical Health History Form. For your convenience, you will be able to complete this Medical History Form at home, by downloading it below.

At the conclusion of this first office visit, our goal is for you to feel comfortable with Dr. Gonzalez and our team. We want you to have a good understanding of your specific orthodontic needs, the treatment options presented, and the payment options offered. We realize orthodontic treatment is an investment of time and resources, and we want you to have confidence in your decision to work with us.

Please take a minute to print and fill out the patient information form before your first appointment:

What happens after the initial consultation?

When you choose to receive orthodontic treatment, you will need to schedule your first appointment. At your first appointment Dr. Silvana Gonzalez will place your new orthodontic appliance. Typically this appointment is no longer than one hour and then you’re on your way toward your new smile!

Scheduling Appointments

Visiting the orthodontist every 4-8 weeks is an important part of your orthodontic treatment. Regular checkups last between 20 and 40 minutes. Our practice will work with you to make sure that your appointments are scheduled around your busy day. That way you will spend less time in the dental chair, and more time enjoying the things you love to do.

Sometimes life gets in the way of appointments, so if you’re running late or need to reschedule please let us know, and we will do everything we can to accommodate you. When you’re ready to schedule your first appointment, call our practice at 512-215-2520; we’re looking forward to working with you.

Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatment

It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every six months, even during your orthodontic treatment, for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups.
If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you are receiving the best care possible.
